DeLorenzo’s Studio Apartments stands on land originally owned by the well-known DeLorenzo family, a respected Nelson family whose name has long been part of the city’s story. When the opportunity arose to purchase the land, the Munro family saw the potential to create something entirely new for Nelson. Purpose-built as a Five Star stay, the property was constructed brand new through the vision and dedication of Lester and Faye Munro alongside Garry Munro and Alexa Wilson of the Munro family. From bare ground to finished build, DeLorenzo’s was developed from the ground up establishing a new benchmark for luxury, self-contained accommodation in the city while proudly retaining the DeLorenzo name in recognition of the site’s heritage.

Garry Munro and Alexa Wilson have played a defining role in shaping the direction and standards of the business, while Toby Munro now leads as General Manager guiding the next chapter across both properties.
