Our reception is open 7 am - 6 pm daily; phone calls are diverted to Tides Hotel 6 pm – 7 am.  Tides Hotel is located across the road. If you have any questions or concerns, please call; we are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible

Bar & Eatery

Tides Bar and Eatery – Dial ‘0’ To Make a Booking

Our restaurant “Tides Bar and Eatery” is located at Tides Hotel across the road from us. They offer in-house casual dining and room service which can be charged back to your room.

To make a reservation, dial ‘0’ or see reception.

Breakfast Service – a’ la carte - Daily 6:45 am – 11 am

All Day Menu – Daily 11 am – 5 pm

Dinner Service – a’ la carte - Daily 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (available until 6:00 pm for room service)

A room service fee of $5.00 per tray applies.

Daily Room Servicing - Te Ratonga Rūma

We service rooms daily, if you would like your room serviced, please place the room service card on your door; we will make your bed, wipe down the bathroom and kitchen surfaces, remove your rubbish, and replenish the tea & coffee. If you wish to have your towels replaced, please leave used towels on the floor.   Servicing of rooms is completed between 10am – 1pm, when your room is vacant. If you do not wish for your room to be serviced, please hang your no cleaning required card on your door in the morning

      Do Not Disturb - Kaua e Whakararuraru      

Please use the door hanger provided. If your sign is out, you will not be disturbed.

Wake Up Calls - Oho Karanga

Wake up calls are available at all times. Please contact reception to organise this for you.

Cigarette & Vape Free – Hikareti Me 

DeLorenzos Studio Apartments is now cigarette and vape free. If you wish to smoke or vape during your stay here please refrain from doing so outside your room. We have four designated smoking areas on site- as seen on the map. If you have been seen smoking anywhere else in our complex a $200 instant fine will be charged to your bill without referral. If you are found to have smoked in your room, an extra cleaning fee of $150 will be charged to your credit card.

If you are deemed to have set off the alarms or have deactivated a fire alarm by removing it from the ceiling a reset/ callout fee of $350.00 during business hours and $500.00 outside of business hours will be automatically charged to your room without referral.

Check-out time is 10 am. If you require a late checkout, please contact reception; we will do our best to accommodate your request.  If you are leaving before 7 am please settle your account the night before.

Luggage Storage  - Pupuri Putea

Luggage storage is available.  Please contact reception and they will organize this for you.

Sky – 50 + Channels

Television Troubleshooting -  Raparongoā Pouaka Whakaata

If you are having trouble changing channels on your Television – make sure you are pointing the remote towards the Sky Box - use only the Sky remote.   If you have any other issues, please contact Reception.

Heating / Cooling - Whakawera / Whakamatao

Each room has its own heat pump unit, which can be used for heating & cooling.

  • Point the remote at the unit to turn on, using the power button

  • If you require heat make sure to have the unit on ‘Sun’ setting

  • If you require cold air, make sure the unit is on the ‘Snowflake’ setting

  • To change the settings, press the mode button.

  • Allow up to 10 minutes for warm air to start coming through.

  • To change temperature, press the up or down arrows

  • To adjust the fan, press the fan button until your required setting is set.

 

WI-FI

WIFI is complimentary and unlimited and can be used in your room, conference, or public areas of the property. Please follow the details below for logging in to our WIFI

  • You will need to connect to the “DeLorenzo’s Guest” network

  • Enter a password – Maitai – with a capital M

  • Read the terms of use & and tick the box

  • Click Connect

Noisy Guests – Haruru Manuhiri

Our noise policy will be strictly enforced.  If you are being disturbed by other guests, such as loud music, loud voices, loud TVs, bad language or any other intrusive noise please call reception at any time night or day so we can put a stop to it. By dialing “0” on the phone in your room.

Dial 1, then 111 for Fire, Ambulance or Police – You will be asked to provide the following information.

Fire - Ahi

In the event of the alarms going off:

Please evacuate from your room and gather in the front of our reception area at the Evacuation Point. (Street sign opposite reception)

If you are deemed to have set off the alarms or have deactivated a fire alarm by removing it from the ceiling a reset/ callout fee of $350.00 during business hours and $500.00 outside of business hours will be automatically charged to your room

Doctor - Tākuta

If a doctor is required, they can be contacted as follows:

Medical and Injury Centre Dial 1, then 03 546 8881. Location: 98 Waimea Road. Walk-in service is available after hours, on weekends, and on public holidays.

The Late-Night Pharmacy (Life Pharmacy Prices) is located at 296 Hardy St or can be called on 03 548 3897. Open from 9 am – 6 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Cars / Parking  - Waka

Free car parking is available for our in-house guests only. If you are towing or have an extra-large vehicle, please talk to reception as they will be able to assist with the ideal place to park. If you wish to have an allocated park, please let us know so we can arrange this; the fee is $15 per day.

DeLorenzo’s Studio Apartments does not accept liability for loss or damage to cars and their contents

Swimming Pool – Heated - Puna Kauhoe

The pool is open from 8 am –8:30 pm daily and heated from October to April.  Towels are available in the basket by the pool.  Children must be supervised at all times. Our saltwater pool is heated between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius.

Bike Hire  -  Te utu paihikara

If you feel like a bike ride, we have four bikes available for hire free of charge. Please contact reception for bookings, you will need to fill out and sign an Indemnity form.           

 

Gym Access - Urunga Omaoma

As our guest, you have free access to MiGym,  Ask reception for a free gym pass and directions to the gym. Enjoy a great range of cardio and weight training, fitness classes plus use of the sauna, This is roughly a 8 minute walk away.

BBQ - Tunu kai

There are two BBQ’s available for our in-house guests to use.  Contact reception to book and collect your BBQ utensils. Please leave the BBQ CLEAN after use.

Electric Car Charging Station -  Te Teihana Whakaeke Motuka Hiko

If you have an electric car requiring charging, you will find our charging point near our pool against the concrete wall – please ask reception for directions.  We have adaptors available at reception if required, a $30 bond applies. This will be refunded when the cable and the adaptor are returned.

Should you have any comments or suggestions during your stay with us please contact reception or fill out the guest feedback form in your room.  Your comments & and experiences are important to us and help us to continuously monitor and improve our services and facilities. 

Please do not wait until the end of your stay to report any issues, contact reception so we can remedy this as soon as possible. 

Laundry - Horoi horoi

All but one of our rooms are equipped with washing machines & and dryers.  If you require extra laundry powder – see reception.  Clothes airers and sewing kits are available – please see reception.

Dry Cleaning Service - Ratonga Horoi Maroke

A same-day service is offered Mon – Fri.  Please leave at reception before 8 am.  Items will be returned late afternoon.  Please contact reception.

Newspaper  - Nupepa

The Christchurch Press is available Mon–Sat please see reception if you wish to have a paper. This can be ordered at reception the day before.

Packed Lunch - Tina kikī

Phone reception before 6 pm to place your packed lunch order. This will have a sandwich, 2 pieces of fruit, a bag of proper crisps, a muesli bar, and a bottle of water @ $22.50 per person.

Printing / Photocopying - Te Ta / Whakaahua

If you require any printing or photocopying to be done, please see reception or email enquiries@delorenzos.co.nz  with your printing instructions. There are fees attached to printing – please enquire first. If you need a guest computer, there is a guest computer available in reception during operating hours.

Lost Property - Taonga Ngaro

Food items will be kept for 48 hours, and then disposed of when the rooms are cleaned.

Non-perishable items will be held at reception for 3 months, we will return the property upon request via courier, and we will charge the courier fee.

Conference Facilities - Nga Whare Huihuinga

DeLorenzo’s Studio Apartments has conference facilities available for hire. Information about this is available from our sister property Tides Hotel – 0800 HOTELS.  There are larger conference rooms available at Tides Hotel.  Please ask reception for further details

Church Service - Karakia

Reception will help provide information on the services & and locations of Churches + and places to worship.  Christ Church Cathedral is the prominent Church at the top of Trafalgar St.  The building is a mix of architectural styles that overlooks the city.  Take a minute from the busy city center to walk around the church via the pathways or climb the beautifully carved granite steps.

Noise Policy - Kaupapa Here Haruru

DeLorenzo’s Studio Apartments has a zero-tolerance policy on parties being held in the rooms.

A party is defined as:

Any situation where the noise level from a room/guest is affecting or disturbing any other guest. Or where the number of guests in the room exceeds the number of guests stated on the registration card.

Any situation where the maximum number of guests allowed per room is exceeded, the maximum being the number of person/s stated on the registration card upon check-in.  In the event that any room/guest is identified as having a party, or making excessive noise, DeLorenzo’s Management reserves the right to immediately request all occupants of the room up to, and including, the guest who has registered for the room vacate the premises. In the event that eviction does occur, the registered guest will be charged for that night’s accommodation and for any expense resulting from additional cleaning of the room, replacement of any furniture/fixtures/fitting breakage, as well as any required repairs, costs incurred from any guests affected by disturbance.  Please note all guests, and visitors must leave by 10 pm

Additional actions that may result in eviction: DeLorenzo’s Studio Apartments reserves the right to immediately evict any guest, visitor, or member of the public for the following reasons, but not limited to:

  • The throwing of objects over the balconies

  • Wilful damage to DeLorenzo’s and/or resident's property

  • Physical or verbal assault/abuse of DeLorenzo’s staff, other guests, and members of the public on the hotel premises

  • Any behavior deemed as a potential safety threat to others

  • Any incident for which the police are required to attend

Consequences of eviction: In the event that any person requested to vacate the premises fails to adhere to this request, the police will be called which may result in further action being taken against the person/s in question. No refunds will be given.
